With the Steam Hardware & Software Survey for April 2026 now live, we've seen a decrease compared with the all-time high from last month but still a good trend.
Trending well my ass. It went down .8% in overall count from last survey’s 5.3%. The silver lining is that the .8% loss does not add up in the top distro list, which means last month’s jump was either a counting glitch (more likely) or the distro that had that huge drop does not show in the top distro list. I doubt a single distro could be responsible for such a huge drop, so that means last month the linux percentage should’ve been around 4.5 and it registered a plateau/slight growth overall.
