  • I didn’'t really feel like reading those same jokes, quips, puns, and slogans ad nauseum.

this begs the question of why the neoliberals are here at all.

reddit/facebook/instagram/etc. will always have better bread and circuses so expecting to get it on lemmy is a lost cause to begin with and that lacking quality – combined with efforts to minimize leftist narratives like piefed and tesseract – means that they won’t stay here for long.

so what are they looking for when the come here when they continue to insist on implementing the same enshitification that made reddit so insufferable?

  • Eh. He can say what he wants. He says the Gulf of Mexico is now the Gulf of America, he says Lake Ontario is now Lake America. Those changes reflect online for Americans, but for the rest of the world they keep their name.

the rio grande used to be called the rio bravo until the americans decided they preferred their own name for it. today nobody calls it the rio bravo anymore – not even most mexicans.

    what do you call it?

history keeps proving that the side with more money and influence over the world’s affairs always get their way. maybe not at first, but eventually and guess which side of this equation canada is on?

    their pursuit is accumulation

i’ve always understood this to be a trend instead of a rule of the ruling class and i suspect some cabals of the ruling class care more about pushing for absolute dominance more than anything else.
