Not surprising at all, and re. Chinas coal, then it is being processed into other types of energy/resources in ways that are completely new to the west, so not polluting. China are in control of the situation, and have even used surplus resources to help out other local nations against the repercussions of the US elite and their blind-sided western populations.

Sorry for the long comment, but the above article relates directly to current geo-political events where US are attacking China. The article - one among thousands - shows that US are failing, and I don’t think I can summarise the connecting events shorter atmo:

For those of us that have followed the US oligarchy’s war on the rest of the world for a long long time, and followed how they constantly tried to sabotage China’s rise, it has been a huge relief to see that enemies of the US Epstein class - “The Empire of Lies” as it is also called - have prepared for everything that is happening now. They ALSO knew what was going to happen, and what the standard/predictable CIA playbook were.

Everything that happens right now have been predicted, and heard/read directly from the arrogant western oligarchs, so there was little surprise for anyone but the ordinary western population that, through the oligarch owned media, thought that we were the good guy’s. We weren’t, and never was. The reason we thought so, was because US have created the wildest propaganda apparatus, and the most docile/in-fighting/misinformed population in human history - quantity + quality that have never been seen before !

In fact, all the current geo-political conflicts, are really just the US Epstein class panicking and attacking China with everything they got. They had to first weaken Chinas friend/energy provider, Russia through Ukraine (and then command EU oligarchy to take over), and then cut off fossil fuels/energy from Iran, to chinas production machine. They will try to block Chinese trade through other straits if possible, but its no longer likely to succeed. The US elite have completely failed on every single front they have created and the US is no longer a unipolar hegemony, and will only sink deeper and deeper towards poverty, though they will make sure to drain/sacrifice their vassal nations as much as they can first.

However, only the western populations and smaller nations with corruptible leaders were this blind-sided, and an incredible amount of westerners actually believe that all of this was purely Trump/Maga’s fault - despite it going on - and accelerating - for over 100 years - WHILE activists was telling everybody about it ! They still don’t realise they have been, and are being manipulated - badly…

So, atmo, Western public narrative/emotions are still filled by the “Bad Russia” lynchmob via a standard CIA manufacturing consent campaign, despite an absolute shitload of counter evidence showing what actually happened in Ukraine, and other places in the world. That evidence is not shown to the western population via oligarch owned media, so anger in the created lynch-mob/echo-chamber are predictably hindering the mob in wanting to discuss what happened, or even just listen to those that try to break the US driven western narrative.

Front 1: The now hated Russia already knew that US created Ukraine as a nazty proxy-warrior to harm Russia, and prepared for the coming Nato attack over many years. Nothing US or their EU vassals have instantiated have surprised them in this conflict, except perhaps the suicidal insanity of the EU vassal leaders, or how bad Nato fighting really is. Russia have completely drained out all of Nato’s resources, and we now see them turn up the heat while completely controlling the very angry but functionally lame EU/West. There is no ‘stalemate’, and there never was, so no matter that some peeps don’t like it, it was a Russian attrition War at its finest, and the war was already won from the beginning. Russia is doing great. Too bad that US and their bunkers EU vassals have killed so many innocent Ukrainians - “For the Empire !!” :-( Nobody needed to die and Russia did try many times to seek deals, but US elite wanted to continue until the last Ukrainian.

Front 2: Iran also knew what was coming, have prepared themselves very well, and have pummelled the other nazty US proxy-warrior, Israel, and all US bases in the area. They also knew that US would try to control either their Oil, or block Hormuz strait to weaken China. Their preparedness and conversations with other ‘enemies’ of the Epstein class have completely upended US M.East power structure, Izrael and the corruptible golf nations, and there’s not much US can do now except hand over nukes to local criminals/terrorists that they support/control. Iran is still functioning and selling Oil to China. There is no ‘stalemate’, and there won’t be. Iran is harmed, but are in control of the situation.

Front 3 - the main one: China also knew that US would trigger this ridiculous stunt. After all, they have been the target of US terrorist actions on the belt&road projects for many many years, and anyone could see that US economic Ponzi-scheme only survived on wars, aggression and exploitation/extortion - like extort/steal Oil from Venezuela - just everywhere on the globe. US, or the CIA tried to get a Taiwan proxy warrior up and running, but didn’t have time to finish the job, and bc the Ukraine campaign have drained them, US Oligarchy had to trigger attacks against all friends and supporters of China instead + attacking China financially with tariffs and worthless blockades. Not a scratch have come to China yet.

China have been developing under the radar and are also turning up the knob. Every day we see how China launches new insane technology - far beyond anything in the West - and are completely managing everything US throws at them, sanctions, sabotaging the ‘belt and road project’, reducing fossil energy needed by China’s production via Hormuz closure, and so on. China, have hardly noticed it relative to what the western population is about to experience. The result of the Epsteins attack on China is that US and the entire western vassal system are in an implosive process, while China and its nearest friends are doing well now, and will survive the US elites current panic and violent tantrum just fine. China have already won - without much fuzz really.

Earlier fronts: Unfortunately, smaller and closer nations got harmed by the US elites pscho warring for profit/power and by the western population that gave the green light for it. Many CIA instigated riots were triggered - the so-called “Color-revolutions” were all just CIA manipulation for the Epstein shtters, and many middle-east nations suffered, lost control to terrorist organisations supported by the US etc. Too many to mention, really. Venezuela, and the rest of the good peeps of South America are under constant attack from the Epstein cnts and their Oligarchy presidents.

So, ALL of the above have been prepared, executed and evaluated by every sitting Oligarch President in the US - no matter if “Democrat” Biden, Obomba, Clinton etc, or “Republican” like Trump, Bush? etc were chosen for the Oligarchy presidency. No-one have tried to reverse what the previous puppet from the “other” uni-party did. That alone should raise some eyebrows in the west, but unfortunately, people are still too blind-sided and angry at anyone else but the elite pschos that are running the show. All of the above are documented and well-known for long time activist, anti-imperialists and real journalists (yes, there are still a few in the west).

Have you considered OpenHarmony.cn ? Huawei made HarmonyOS, forked it and supports openharmony community-based OS themselves, so there’s a chance that your tablet will work with it.

Arg!! I love these passionate re-imaginations, remakes and whatnot of old games, but they are already developing with AI, so why are they not generating a new asset resource that replaces all the original proprietary stuff!

Anyway, I hope we soon get complete asset replacement for ALL the old games Diablo, C&C, Baldurs gate and hundreds of other old classics that all have an open engine that still relies on shtty original copies of proprietary assets. Nobody cares about these corporate parasites anyway, so f’em…

I think it’ll get harder and harder to find ‘pure’ distros. For a while you can maybe rely on something similar to Gnu linux-libre kernel that removes proprietary blobs, or BSD, or Gnu Hurd kernels etc, but linux-libre is already a pain if you need certain hw drivers, and eventually an anti-ai kernel will become crippled even worse, and it will become too hard to keep track of what kernels/parts of kernels is AI assisted code or not.

In the future, more and more new features will be from ai assisted code, and pretty soon, the anti-ai kernel will lose out to ai-assisted kernels in features, speed and soon stability (bug-finding etc).

The same goes for the rest of the distros that tries to avoid ai-assisted tools and code, and you/others will imho get completely swamped by this transformation. In fact, you will most certainly need an agent to keep constant track of this development.

I’m okay with AI, but I kind of feel for those trying to avoid it. Its hard enough just to avoid proprietary crap, and to me, avoiding ai-assists, is an even bigger mountain to climb. I do wish you all best of luck on that journey.

Ps. There ARE fully open models trained on fully libre with open libre data-sets, and for you - ethical data oriented - you could/should? probably accept that ‘non-pure’ situation, and use such an open llm to either maintain an ethical distro, or keep unethical ai-assist as low as you can get away with, for as long as you can.

I think your solution is a ‘declarative operating system’, where you just have a config file and the system builds it-self from that. You can decide if the system is locked to certain versions if you like. I know of Guix and NixOs, but maybe others exists. Alternatively an external scripting solution.

You still need to backup valuable local user data oc.

Assuming they are related; A capacity @ 100 Trillion tokens a day, is something of a statement ! According to this site that is 1/4 of all global current token generation, which supposedly are at 390T tokens a day.

Not 100% on what ‘stack-based’ means here, but if ‘stacking’ = ‘tiering’, you could use a normal filesystem like bcachefs that have tiered storage ?

You can declare different tier devices for speed, availability or what you prefer, and have different compression, managed cache, auto-move hot data from cold storage, cold data to cold storage, and what not…

However, I’ve never actually tried it, so I’m likely exaggerating the possibilities. I think ZFS have tiering too, but maybe a filesystem specialist can chime in with some advice.

Alternatively, if it doesn’t bother you, it could be a great task for a sota ai, to help/create/setup a simple fuse fs for your needs.
