Memes@lemmy.ml•FIFA protects genocidal ukrainian nazis instead of genocide victims, what a world!
2012·1 month agoThe ukranians are genocidal? Sorry, what?
EDIT: sorry I stirred trouble. I think its good to be critical of any government. From what I know, Ukraine’s military is mostly killing invaders, which is not what I would characturize as a genocide on their part. On the other hand Israel’s military…

Fuck Cars@lemmy.ml•Free street parking is a subsidy for car owners
13·1 month agoCars are useful, but yeah as a city grows more and more of the street needs to be converted to higher density transit (bus, tram, bike, motorcycle). Obviously this includes parking. Its the only way to let people continue to move.

The purple ‘worth fighting for’ shirts have a specific design and in the overhead shot many of the blue shirts look like they have the ‘worth fighting for’ design
Also, here a man with a very unique red beard is wearing a purple shirt.

Here is the same big red beard with the same people around. The shirt has changed to blue with the ‘worth fighting for’ design.

EDIT. Oh and in the first picture look at the person to the right of the red beard with the black and white striped shirt, the purse across their chest, and sun glasses. In the overhead shot their shirt changes to light blue

Europe@feddit.org•Trump says France must scrap tech 'sales tax' or face 100% wine tariffs: NY PostEnglish
6·2 months agoUnsurprisingly, that doesn’t seem to be true, but also the studies seem to arrive at pretty different numbers about how much worse it is.
Some authors, such as Neto et al. (2013), show that the distribution of wine has a relatively small impact of 1.9% (0.05 kg CO2e/bottle of 750 ml) relative to the viticulture and wine bottling stages in the supply chain. Others, such as Bonamente et al. (2016), estimate the distribution of bottled wine to represent approximately 41.1% of the total life cycle emissions of wine at consumption.
