They don’t actually want to separate, they play on the emotions of old racist nationalists to get into power so they can cut public funding and cut taxes for the rich. Classic right-wing grift that profits off of a population that has been told that their culture is only tied to their French heritage. It’s just preferring one colonial power over another while ignoring every other nationality and race that helped build this province.
