Vietnam’s Trade Ministry said it signed the deal with the European Free Trade Association (EFTA), which is made up Norway, Switzerland, Iceland and Liechtenstein.
I hate that Vietnam is a dictatorship (not sure how repressive it is), but after all, getting an ally in the South-East Asia, especially one like Vietnam who borders China, may be a good thing.
You can instead buy from Taiwan, Japan and South Korea.
From my understanding, there is not much freedom of speech + lots of censorship in Vietnam, at least compared to the EU and that sort, but not as bad as the PRC (you can still see foreign news sites, criticising the government results in less severe punishment, etc.). They have stable governance and their economy has improved a lot since unification.
Vietnam is a pretty awesome country, they beat both the French and the American empires to secure their independence!
Vietnam has always been chill internationally.

Yeah, as I expected 😁 I hope the situation improves in this regard. I heard about the governance and the economy, and I’m glad about it.
