The heat is subsiding but it’s still pretty hot. Also, does anyone have tips on how to deal with thigh chafing?

    Bike shorts.

The only way to not chafe is a fabric barrier, or so I’ve found.

And body powder to freshen everything up when you’re a sweaty summer mess. Underboob sweat is no joke.

Just curious, but do you mean literal bike shorts or just long legged underwear? I would have thought that bike shorts would trap moisture.

The rule for me is something you wouldn’t mind flashing accidentally, that creates a thigh friction barrier.

I (40+ cis woman) personally like the legging material kind because they’re plentiful and I’m lazy and thrifty. I wear regular underpants under them most of the time, but not always. These work under any length skirt.

I also wear ruffly light linen shorts under loose dresses/skirts. Or outerwear shorts, as long as the inseam length is long enough to block thigh rub. True spandex bicycle shorts are beyond my ken, but they seem to work for bicycle people.

And I’ve never shopped them, but online underwear stores like woxer or meundies have super cute designs and thigh length panties.

        Happy summer!

True bike shorts are not at all comfortable (imo) unless you are on a bike, the padding is awkward when not sitting, hence my confusion.

Alas, I am not the OP, and am going into winter :(

Got it, I’ll keep that in mind! And yeah, I’ll definitely keep some body powder on hand because I’m already a sweaty mess… and it’s only spring 😭 the subway feels like a sauna

During heatwaves, when I change after work, I’ll powder myself pits to knees in a dry shower, then get dressed. The dust gets everywhere.
