I use maps (Waze) all the time, everytime. Even for places I’ve been to before and know the way. Because, what if there’s a traffic jam, or accident, or some detour that would be better? Waze also shows posted speed limits at all times (even when not navigating, unlike “Maps”), so I never have to guess if I’m speeding. Waze also alerts if cops are posted in the area, good to know.
My wife however is like “I don’t need the maps, I know how to get there”. Me, I got nothing to prove by trying to remember every address, and every street. I use maps all the time, there’s just no downside, imo.
She’s also not a fan that I changed the navigators accent to Aussie and call her Sheila. I think she’s jealous of my love for Sheila.
