    One of the biggest complaints that the slaveholding States had was that the Fugitive Slave Act (federal law) wasn’t being enforced on Free States. I know this was among the grievances listed in South Carolina’s deceleration of succession.

    So they were perfectly happy to accept federalism and Federal Supremacy when it served their satanic institution.

      Hey, don’t insult Satan like that. They want nothing to do with the horrific crime against humanity that is slavery, especially as it was practiced in the Americas post Columbus.

        I think it’s a fine adjective for chattel slavery. I chose it specifically to aggravate the types who’d be sympathetic to the confederacy. It’s a direct response to the phrase “particular institution” that confederates prefer.

      Don’t bring Satan into this. Satan being equal to Lucifer, his only sin being the act of rebellion - giving humanity free will. I don’t know about you but to me, free will is kind of polar opposite of slavery.
