In a three way contest between Starmer (the incumbent), Miliband, and Streeting it would signal total no confidence in Starmer. Two soft lefties vs one right winger of the party. The left will split their votes and give Wes an easy route to power. Starmer would have to resign to prevent that to ensure the vote doesn’t get split. Question is, will he?

Labour leadership elections are conducted using preferential voting, so vote splitting shouldn’t be a problem.
Fair enough. I didn’t realise that. Exciting then!
I’m very confused by that categorisation.
