House lawmakers made public a massive transportation bill Sunday that would impose new fees on electric vehicles as gasoline prices surge following the Iran war.
This is more than the average fossil car owner pays in gas taxes, and really bad policy during a world fuel shortage.
You must be in Europe. Vehicles in North America are not inspected. They drive until they fall apart.
As always, that depends on the state. Some states actually have mandatory safety/emissions testing every year.
