My problem with that scene is that it didn’t really go anywhere. I expected more, but instead all the women (and spider-man iirc) line up to pose. Then there is 15 seconds on bad ass women. Then business as usual. Made the scene feel out of place to me; like something bigger was supposed to happen but got cut.

One of the most bitched about scenes in the last 20 years is the “she’s got help” scene in the Avengers movie.
oh, okay. I thought it was something else.
That whole movie was fan service schlock. That moment was admittedly extremely lame but so was so much of that movie.

It is this scene and you can minimize it all you want but this scene gets bitched about for only one reason.
