Would you vote for Labour in a general election (whether Sir Keir or Andy led the party)?
I think a lot of people on Lemmy support the Greens but I very much doubt that the Greens could stop Farage becoming prime minister. Labour are probably the best-placed party to do that.


Labour could also beat Reform in a general election by implementing some of the policies that are actually in their manifesto. The only reason they need Andy Burnham for this is because Starmer won’t do it, Burnham is extremely competent but that’s it. It’s not as if he’s tapped into some, once in a generation political superpower. He just does the things he says he’ll do.
That’s the state of our politics now. Following through is considered a strategy of political genius.
