Noticed I got caught in a wave of bans by the mod of [email protected] after downvoting their obvious distraction propaganda. They got pissy in the comments because their first post got heavily downvoted. So they deleted that post, banned everyone that downvoted, then posted it again to game the system. Classy. I wonder how lemmy.world admins feel about mods abusing their authority like this.

    It’s funny how easy it is to get a nice list of bans over here.

    Just downvote some stuff you don’t agree with or think are low quality and eventually you’ll find you’re banned in several comms.

    Call out tankies or make a negative comment about russia and you get some random lemmy.ml community bans.

    I think it’s mostly harmless, but can also see how it could be gamed to amplify some bad stuff.

    People love their bubbles so in here they make even smaller bubbles.

    Votes being public, I feel it is destined to be this way.
