Yeah nice, I know the Himalayan, bullet proof bike lol.

And yeah, I’m all too familiar with uncomfortable bikes haha, only ever been on sport bikes or dirt bikes (previous bike was a CBR600RR). I was thinking of potentially picking up a GSXR750 this time, but I wouldn’t mind something a bit more upright. So for what I’m used to, the triple is a very comfortable bike lol

My wife’s previous main bike was a CBR600RR … it was a bit squashed for me, lol

Compared to a 600RR, a 750 Gixxer is a weapon, a whole different animal - you don’t get that flat spot from 5-7K before the secondary injectors kick in, it just goes … but because it doesn’t have the bulk and sheer power of a liter bike it’s easier to tap into what’s available. I really liked my late 90s one, but it got stolen :-(

My experience of sport bikes is from before they had all the riding modes and traction control, though … the new stuff sounds like you can put 200hp between your legs and just tell the computer to not kill you :-/

Upright is good, but the amount of wind resistance from a naked is surprising. That’s where “sport touring” bikes come in for me … I love the combination of sporty yet practical, and they’re tuned for torque from the low end, so much nicer in traffic :-)
