    When I think of Russian/Soviet tactics - it reminds me of observations made by Lawrence of Arabia - it doesn’t matter how much imperial soldiers you kill - empire will send more. But blowing up empire’s shit (trains in Lawrence’s case) will actually hurt - because you can’t just venture to the streets, find a free train and coerce it to join your war effort.

    Same with tanks - pile yermolays on it, doesn’t matter, tank itself should not be hurt.

      While this is certainly a fair observation, I feel obligated to point out that the meme is a bit of a shitpost - what’s depicted is actually tank desant, a formerly-common practice (before widespread motorization of armies) wherein infantry would ride on the tank into battle, and then dismount as soon as the actual shooting started. Beats walking!

      … assuming no ambushes occur to splatter the tank with infantry chunky salsa…
