The former prime minister named Angela Rayner’s employment rights bill and Ed Miliband’s net zero drive as key mistakes, alongside the phasing out of oil and gas licenses and Rachel Reeves’ decision to raise the minimum wage and national insurance and change the status of non-doms. All of the policies had given “headwinds, not tailwinds to British business”, he wrote.

Consumers are paying 28p/kWh for electricity while prices for Hornsea 3/4 are ~6p/kWh. Net zero and cutting electricity costs are the same thing at this point. Murdoch has successfully convinced a substantial chunk of the population that woke energy is the reason electricity prices are so high and Blair thinks the government should ignore objective reality to appease people living in a fantasy world.

In a slightly better universe Tony fulfilled his lifelong dream and is the greasy manager of some middling aging rock band who never quite made it outside of London, it’s a nice universe, they have gender affirming care.

Please write this drunkenly on the next divebar bathroom stall you find yourself in that has walls written over with graffiti and stickers, the world deserves poetry like this in the concrete.

Blair was always a sell-out but I would not have thought he could fall even lower.
