What “The West” is doing is purely a series of strategically defensive moves, originally designed to dissuade Russia from doing what they’re doing, and now, designed to exact a dire economic price for such blatant military adventurism. Get the fuck off of your high horse.
No what the west did is coup a largely neutral government because it wasn’t russophobic enough and replaced it with one that lionized nazi collaborator stepan Bandera as this was a worth it tradeoff in their eyes for them to be pro EU and NATO. They weren’t trying to dissuade anything everyone knew what was to come after they did this but the price was worth it in their eyes.
