another way of saying “anyone who wants a fulfilled lives not totally comprised of necessity should stfu” if you like living frugal, fine, doesnt mean others should have to.
Please, homemade is better than supermarket or bistro food. Bringing my own lunch is not me being cheap, it’s me being a snob. Me buying lunch means I miscounted during prep or I’m being lazy.
Sysco has monopolized food distribution and actively pushes businesses to make slop bowls. Everything tastes the same because Sysco is fighting hard to sell their most profitable shit to literally everyone. It all tastes the same because it is.
While it’s definitely way cheaper to make your own food, which I hope people still fucking understand and shouldn’t be controversial… Groceries are still going way up in price and down in quality.
Once you accept that they want to take the entire value of your life for themselves, everything they do makes sense.
“ I simply spend more of my free time preparing my self meals to feed my self at work, why are you complaining about being priced out of using communal dining spaces to get food?”
Simplified “I have devoted more of my time to labor related to work because my access to resources has been reduced”
If nothing else it’s just inefficient. Like, a cafeteria or food court is going to provide meals with less overal labor spent than everyone making their own bag lunch. If people want to bring their own lunch, good for them, but economic pressure should not be forcing people to internalize additional labor costs by adopting a less efficient method of mid day meal preparation.
What’s brown bagging? 🤔
Bringing lunch from home, traditionally in a brown paper bag.
When a person has a great body but ugly face during sex.
Its when you drink malt liquor from a bottle concealed by a brown bag in public.
Bringing your own meal to work/school
Bringing lunch from home
That’s just a normal thing for us.
Bringing a lunch from home.
