    What “market”?

What I can tell you is that the market is definitely veering towards editing your post instead of posting again.

Okay… What do you mean by “veer towards ui/ux”? What connects these two concepts? Be more specific and concrete, give examples.

For example, right now I’m using a mobile phone. Any illiterate person in my country uses it. We use cash, and so we need to rush to ATMs frequently. Even for card swiping, there’s still ui. Then we’ve got ticket vending machines for train and for metro. We’re growing heavily dependent on machines. So, more and more people would get jobs in the development and maintenance of newer gadgets. This is what l had meant by the market veering towards ui/ux.

My brother is a teacher. He teaches french and Spanish. He’s self employed. Whereas many teachers in government schools have been laid off and many foreign language teachers were thrown out of their job, my brother recently joined a school as a part time teacher. He uses technology in his researches, in conducting his classes and also conducts classes online. He’s a user of technology only. Which means, if he cannot use a certain product, he’d simply switch onto something different which he finds more convenient to use.

So more and more developers would be needed. And it need not be the structure of a big organised corporation. Even individuals collaborating on GitHub or codeberg can create great products.

Are you asking whether there is a growing demand for people designing user interfaces and the user experience?

Well, yes… Also, newer gadgets are coming up in the market, so first user experience has to be considered, then comes the user interface. For example, now bus conductors are giving tickets from a hand held gadget.

Okay cool. You said A LOT of stuff and rambled around the topic and I don’t know why but you’re simply asking about what software development is going to look like in the future and whether there will be job opportunities. Yes, there will always be a demand for user interfaces as long as we’re using digital technology, obviously. Nobody knows whether there will be jobs in the field, it might all be AI starting next week.
