    So just close the door for each delivery, problem solved. The 2 seconds you save per delivery of having the door open all the time gets cancelled by fumbling with the AC controls anyway.

    At least they have AC, the '89 Grumman LLV I drive every day only has a fan that just turns the cab into a convection oven, so I’d rather fumble with controls every time I get back in than not have it at all.

        I’m not saying it’s good they’re suffering, the solution is literally in the article, just don’t leave the door open. I’m glad they have air conditioning and obviously fuck Amazon in general, but the workers can just close the door to avoid that, or as someone else commented just put a carabineer in the latch to trick the truck into thinking it’s closed.

        Please don’t confuse my giving a simple solution for distain for my fellow delivery drivers

      Having not read the article, your comment is incredibly valuable. Thanks! Without that context, it looks like it’s bad but if simply closing the door solves the problem, I don’t get why there’s an article about it in the first place. It should be some best practice for the workers, nothing else.
