Something is seriously wrong with UK. The monarchy could murder a Palestinian baby live on national television and people in the UK would go on and on about how majestic it was, how they did it with such grace and impeccable poise.
I think you’ll find plenty of people have no time for the royals and support Palestine. The right wing press would fawn over it, but they’re not representative.
I’d like to believe that but when I constantly see people get beat up there and arrested for supporting Palestine, and even for merely posting support for Palestine online, reality tells a different story. You’re right that people oppose it, but clearly not enough. They just got done last week saying they plan to ban minors from things like YouTube. The government there has become very authoritarian.

Probably a combination of “it’s really important to this person” and “love”. Switching to what your loved one supports happens with all faiths, and occasionally, even football teams.
