I dunno if it’s the right word, but Bonnie was getting teased and rejected by a group of girls for still playing with toys and not embracing the digital tech. Plus the toys were all “PLAY TIME IS OVER. NOW IT’S ALL DEVICES”
Oh, then maybe a better word would be ‘depressing’ or ‘alarmist’ depending on your angle. I found it amusing that they didn’t shy away from the topics of bullying and peer pressure enabled by unrestricted access to technology, while also not succumbing to typical ‘technology bad’ trope. Imo the message was very well balanced, but that’s just Pixar being Pixar.
