What is this ‘patriotic’ nonsense? Independence day? That would have been the British military dealing with logistics and local disadvantages. Have you looked around the US lately? There is no unity here. Civil systems are already being leveraged against the left (always have been), to the delight of your Trumper neighbors and relatives. They love it when the cops kill you, they’ll love it even more when the military does it. There will be resistance, for sure, but unlike our previous civil war, there won’t be a military on both sides, and the ‘front lines’ won’t be so clearly defined.
