I’m guessing he’s going to get away with it because the rules don’t exist in the first place or some other such technicality.

The posh Public School educated High Court judge will send him away after conviction with no penalty with the reasoning that “The shame of a conviction is penalty enough”.

(As has actually happened before when a judge convicted some posh type for Fraud for a second time and sent him away with no penalty)

The was described by somebody in the user comments in The Guardian, maybe more than a decade ago.

I don’t even know under which article in that newspaper it was anymore.

The UK managed to do something about various pedos they had in power, so there is hope. Although they didn’t do nearly enough to them, so the hope is very small

Normal people would care, but they’ve already made up their minds about Farage.

This is the same thing as Trump, endless articles trying to convince people of something they either already believe, or who are dug in such that it entrenches them.

I suppose these articles need to be written for documentation, like this is the actual “first draft of history” that subscribers and advertisers pay for, but they’re not going to change anything politically (I think).

Maybe this is aimed at wobbly Tories?

“One rule for thee another for me” being just the natural way of things is a widespread perspective in Britain, both amongst the “riff-raff” and amongst those they see as their “betters”.

I’m willing to bet there are already hundreds of videos on Youtube and Tiktok cheering Farage on for sticking it to the man. Not long before Farage goes full manosphere, making propaganda where he’s sitting on the bonnet of a Ferrari. “You too can be a millionaire, drive a Ferrari and pull women… all you need to do is vote Reform,” he’ll say.
