Discovered I have a green thumb back in 2017-18 when plants became super trendy. I had literally never given a second thought to plants before then, but now I’m known as one of those plant ladies who can make anything grow. I do have some plants, I just can’t get along with, though. However much I wish for us to be friends, the wandering jew simply doesn’t like me. I have murdered a handful of them. I genuinely don’t understand what I do wrong. It’s like the minute they come into contact with me they go “bye, bitch” and perish in a hurry.
The goofy thing is that I have a tradescantia spathacea that I bought from a store when it was a tiny, sad little thing with three leaves and one of them broken (I have an “I can fix you” complex). That bitch is THRIVING. It is in the same family as the wandering jew. I SHOULD BE ABLE TO KEEP IT ALIVE, yet, the wandering jew hates my guts. Sigh. I shall never know what it is like to have this beautiful purple, green and silvery plant in my collection.
