Making friends. I seem to be able to get close to people quickly and maintain friendships through communication and effort and the result is I have good friends everywhere and a circle of ride-or-die homegirls (and boys) that all have eachother’s back through anything.

I realised, just this weekend actually, I volunteered to help a local group of queers hoping to contribute more to the community and met new people and I’ve come away with four new lovely women who I hope I’ll be friends with for a long time.

It was only through telling this story that my partner told me I’m great at making friends and it made me think about it.
