The reversal of Folarin Balogun’s World Cup suspension is highly unusual. It was the first time since 1962 that FIFA has nullified a suspension for a red card received during the World Cup.
They’re gonna let Trump steal the trophy, aren’t they?
They already did! They brought the trophy to a launch event at the White House last year and he decided to keep it. The one they’re using at the tournament is a replica.
It was a bullshit red card. First time in 10 years I’ve agreed with Trump.
Edit: lot of downvoters, but not many people disagreeing. The red card was bullshit and so are all of yall.
Doesn’t really matter.
They overturned it because Trump asked. Not because it should have been a yellow.
Justice was served
Can ever other country do this and expect the same treatment if not still not cool?
They fucking should. If it’s a bullshit red card, it should 100% be reviewed and removed.
It was a bs red but no politician should be able to influence the sport like that. It ruins any credibility the event might have had
