USSR STARTED WW2 together with the nazis, they were spoonfed help just to survive after they switched sides because the nazis betrayed and attacked them.

Movies almost never are credible sources about any subject. But even taking that aside, its a movie produced by the same country that made the bomb. As someone else said, not only burguerlanders will kill you in a war, they will come back 20 years later to tell you how that made their soldiers sad
