Sounds like this could be solved if Queen’s Park got themselves a couple of small rooms with single beds. Plenty of existing public services that run temporary quarters to learn from.

All elected officials should have to use active or public transit.
Maybe then they’d give a shit about it.
That would be indescribably based, but then they’d have to answer awkward questions from constituents on their way to work, and they’d just call it a security issue (and they wouldn’t even be wrong, it would make it trivial for foreign powers to assassinate politicians that oppose their goals).
If there is a legitimate and valid security concern, that’s a valid reason to use a different method.
