I used to rollerblade to target with my friend back in the early 90s and we would carry our rollerblades through the store and open and dump Legos in them and then put them back on out front and painfully skate away. The last time we did it we got caught by security while putting them on and he told us if we could tolerate wearing them with Legos inside we probably earned them. Probably stole billions worth in today’s money. We didn’t even like Legos. They were just easy to steal.

That’s only because they use less plastic and have a lot more tiny Lego pieces and that drives the price down of those tiny pieces.

The price per kilo (true price), however, has grown by over 50% (after adjusting for inflation) I.e. Lego is giving you less while making more profits. They’re not good guys, they’re the same as all greedy corporations.

They did a very clever trick by making the pieces smaller/lighter while still charging people the same amount.
