    Was 2018 a low year? That might be about the time I remember bread going up from 35p to 45p a loaf in a fairly short timeframe but it dropped a bit after a while. Its 55p now but some of that might just be general inflation and I don’t buy bread as much anymore.

      Please don’t dox yourself, but where are you finding 55p loaves? It’s almost double that where I am (South West England).

        The cheapest loaf in Aldi. I wonder if its better or worse for you than the more expensive ones. Cheapest ingredients but also less stuff added to it to change the texture of it.

        I have mostly stopped eating supermarket bread though. It probably isn’t very good for you and its cheaper to eat oats.

        So now my lunches are oats I grind up at home to a coarse flour, dried fruit/nuts and just add some water. Although lately at work I use the free milk in the fridge because its cold.
