This one in particular I think is turning the “wrong” way.
Ain’t nobody got time for that! Just run and jump over the railing.
I don’t speed run myself, but I will use many speed run techniques to go faster than a casual gamer. Like always jumping when going uphill in Elden Ring since if you land sooner than normal, you don’t get the slight slowdown from landing. Or blocking when starting a sprint to instantly accelerate to max run speed.
And I am only now realizing this isn’t that staircase… Fuck it, try jumping over the railing anyway. Maybe you’ll find a new route instead of falling into oblivion. 🤷♂️
Ooh, I might have to steal that sprint trick. Does that work in the other games too?
IIRC, it is based on the model you use in some of the other Fromsoft games. Specifically if you are a male as the female model already starts faster, but slows down a bit slower so that’s why you might see speedrunners using a female model.
TomatoAnus explains it in almost all his speedrun videos for all the games. Probably better to check out those since I always forget what is what.
I think this is precisely that staircase. Or rather, the real-world staircase it was directly based on.
