    I’ve never actually heard this used as a dog whistle :O. But I don’t think there’s any more polite language to refer to the phenomenon…

      Its more commonly a dogwhistle than it is an innocuous statement - but the point of dogwhistles is that you don’t notice them unless you are aware of them
