This was in the bag as soon as they went to 2nd round.
Those that were going to vote reform did so on the first preference.
It was probably quite rare to find a reform vote on 2nd preference while labour would have been a backup vote for many.
Labour nearly had it in the first round, with 47% of the vote already.
Reform would have needed virtually every single person to have put them as their second choice.
That said, the number of second round votes to each party were surprisingly close…

- Reform UK: 45,250

well they’re from restore and the tories aren’t they
Goes to show how badly electoral reform is needed in Westminster, so many votes for the most influential democratic institution are fundamentally wasted.
