I have to admit that I don’t get it. Thank you for that. I didn’t know the quote.
Mountain climber George Mallory famously answered the question of why he wanted to climb Mt. Everest by saying, “Because it’s there.”
“Why did you climb the mountain?”
“Because it was there.”
I cannot figure this out, EL5?
Like others have said below it’s to a quote from an early climber of Mount Everest. When asked why he wanted to climb Everest the climber responded “because it’s there.”.
