I pointed out the correct terminology for comms here on Lemmy. This is somehow blaming a victim. Help me understand.

The irony of just getting banned, no warning, from a power tripping comm about mod abuse is just next level.

    I mean, even IF my history had awful things, this was my first time interacting with that Comm and it was in an effort to help someone obviously new to Lemmy. Seeing harshness in my message is evidence that we all read things differently.

      Nah, if you had a history of awful things and came in it would make me read your comment differently.

      That said, I saw no harshness in there.

      But I will say that your activity outside of a comm is definitely a factor for me as well. I won’t preemptively ban, but it will mean way less leeway being given.

              You know how you throw a party, and that one drunk neighbor shows up, pisses on your shrubbery, and cops a feel off your mom?

              It’s okay to escort him out the door when he shows up at your cousin’s bat mitzvah before he can cause trouble there.
