      Story for the late reply.

Military occupation […] is temporary hostile control According to wikipedia.

Where is the hostility between the US and, say, Bahrain, Qatar, the UAE, Jordania or Saudi?

I can understand occupation in Iraq and Syria. But even there local leaders (like the kurds) don’t seem hostile.

It seems entirely possible, to me, that you’re running off of state propaganda sources and not objective reality nor history.

Maybe take a visit to your local library, where you can read all about it!

Seriously, though, stop eating all those bullshit sandwiches, this isn’t even worth arguing with.

Absolutely possible, I’m not perfect an that region isn’t my main area of expertise so I would love to be corrected.

(Un)fortunately my library is a pretty big place so telling me to go there will just result in me going home with another Star Wars book that is hardly helpful here. (Or worse yet: More state propaganda!) So can you maybe point me on some, in your opinion, good material? Thanks.

Google is your friend, looking into the military and political history of the U.S. and the various countries of the middle east and the military operations we’ve pulled over there. There are very few, if any, regions in the middle east that the U.S. hasn’t intentionally destabilized or politically infiltrated and sabotaged to achieve whatever our goal was at any given time, usually oil. It’s less that they are accepting and welcoming of America and more that they know that cooperation on their end will lead to less bombs on their schools and hospitals. We are a merciless imperial force, not a welcomed ally.

Check out Operation Ajax and just how much America has been involved in forced military ran regime changes of governments around the world, most of our destabilization efforts are focused on the middle east due to their crude oil supplies.
