Actually 100 years ago communists were calling for an immediate end to WW1, and Russian Bolsheviks organized against Russia’s participation in the war, while American liberals were sending Eugene Debs to prison for opposing western involvement. Also, I’ve never met a person who used the word “ilk” who didn’t take themselves way too seriously.
