    if you push that timeline back slightly, they were invaded by the soviets during wwII and lost territory, which to this day they have not regained. Why should they trust Russia now, when they have clearly not abandoned their imperial ambitions.

    The source of regional tension is imperialist Russia.

      I just wanna butt in and mention that the reason the Soviets came was Finland’s close allegiance to Germany, and geographical proximity to Leningrad. The history of that invasion wasn’t “they just did it because Stalin is ebil”. But you don’t know that do you, you fascist liar.
