When one of my cats decides to sleep with me. I know they decide where to sleep based on the weather, but I can’t help but feel a bit more loved when they do it.
+1 for cat gladness. Today mine did that curl head in your hand thing and I got to see his chin from upside down. It’s one of my favourite things.

One of my rabbits rushes to me whenever he hears his medicine bottle being opened and practically begs for his daily meds because he knows he’ll get a treat afterward. This evening routine with the lil food-motivated rascal always makes me day brighter.

Being kind to other people when I don’t need to be
It’s one of the reasons I like Lemmy — it gives me lots of opportunities for that. When someone has made a comment that I really appreciate, I like to leave them a comment to that effect. It feels like leaving a super upvote.
Having had this habit for quite a while now, I’ve realised that I am the primary beneficiary of this habit. After all, the people I am kind to are dispersed such that the effects of my kindness are distributed and not contained to one person — except for me; I’m the constant here, and I’ve found that the more I cultivate this way of thinking and acting, the nicer a place my head is for me to exist in.

Every night when I get in bed, my cat Nepeta runs over to make biscuits and get cuddles. It’s a good routine.
