I’ve always been a fan of putting on some Alanis Morissette or Paramore (I fucking love Hayley Williams and her new solo album too). I recently found Sofia Isella too. I’m hoping to add more artists to listen to!
system of a down. they have some bad takes in their music, but on the whole its surprisingly accurate criticism of the usa and life under capitalism. i listened to them as a kid and didnt realize how right they were. i dont listen to them much anymore because tbh their music just makes me more angry most of the time. thats all i can really say without getting into politics.
what are the bad takes?
mostly anti-science stuff. i get why, people see science wrapped up with capitalism and equate the two, but science is like the best thing humanity has ever made. the products and trappings of science being abused by evil people doesnt mean we should abandon it.
Good rec. System of a Down still slaps (for the most part). Definitely good angry music.
