The Lincoln was my first ship and my first depl. I road that ship into dry dock in 2012. That ship was freshly retrofitted by November of 2014. I believe before that it went into dry dock in like 2005 and left dry dock in 2006.
It’s wild to me to hear (given the fact that just before it went into dry dock in 2012 it was one of the better maintained ships I have been on) that things have deteriorated to this degree. Covering it up and expecting that the news won’t get out with 5000+ angry and depressed service members living in those conditions is a pipe dream. Hegseth should be more than ashamed and any real Commander in Chief would have fired him and prosecuted him for this crap.
