    $4 a gallon

    Of course no increase in EV adoption if petrol is that cheap. From memory a gallon is about 4 litres, so it’s a mere 1 dollar per litre. That’s less than half of what I need to pay.

      Cheap is relative, and Americans both drive a lot and the country is the largest oil producer in the world, even before it started stealing Venezuela’s crude. There’s zero reason it should cost that much.

        That’s extremely cheap. Americans would switch to EVs if it were any different.

        Does your car run on oil? You might want to have a mechanic check that.

        The oil produced in America is not used for American gasoline.
