This kinda doesn’t understand patriarchy… All genders were forced to performatively conform to the patriarchy, the men that got told to not express their emotions (and be careful about what they say/ do or be branded “gay” or a “pussy” by the patriarchy) are victims too.
That’s not mutually exclusive to the fact that men lack metacognition. Not being encouraged to express your emotions isn’t the same thing inherently as not having self awareness.
