Buy a cheap set of lip liner on Amazon with different colors. (something like this amazon link. I’m not recommending this brand it’s an example)

Experiment! If you color in your entire lip with lip liner, then put lip stick (or lip tint or lip gloss) on top, it changes the overall color of your lip

Then when you find something you like you can buy better quality.

If it came in a bottle with an applicator it’s probably something like lip tint or lip gloss or lip stain.
