So this is not the first time Logitech will have had a mouse with a replaceable battery. The Logitech G7 had a swappable rechargeable battery and it was great.
But yes it was a proprietary battery, but you only needed 2. One in the mouse and one in the recharge station. Swapping them out was basically the push of one button. I would love it if they went back to that sort of design.
