Das Thema kann man natürlich so künstlich naiv und neutral betrachten. Aber wir wissen doch alle, dass die Rechtsradikalen das gewesen sind. Ich sehe hier kein „beide Seiten“ Argument. Es ist offensichtlich ein problem mit pro Faschisten. Und nur weil Linke jetzt anfangen, ihre Sprache anzupassen, ändert das nichts an der Tatsache, dass die Rechten Schuld sind. Die Rechten sind auch nicht Kompromissbereit. Das kann man sich sparen.
The problem is that about 2.5 million Germans don‘t even get minimum wage. At least not in practice and unpaid overtime is the main reason for it. If they make 13 hours the new standard, 15 to 18 hours will become reality for many.
Besides, endless studies have shown no meaningful benefit to productivity if you work above 8 hours a day. Instead you have increased sick leave and long term health issues. This will make productivity worse, not better. In fact many fields could benefit from working less than 8 hours a day but that‘s not even debated in the government.
One more thing people should know about Germany is that it‘s (for better or worse) a part time economy. If you increase work hours to 12 or even more hours a day it will mean mass unemployment because why pay benefits for 3 workers when you can pay them for just 2 „harder working“ employees? And what do you do then with millions of unemployed but educated and experienced young and middle aged people? Jobs aren‘t falling from the sky, especially not with so many unemployed people that can‘t contribute to the economy anymore. People will mass migrate somewhere else, making all problems even worse.
The problem in Germany is not productivity. It‘s the opposite! There aren‘t enough contracts. Increasing regular work hours will make things so much worse. It‘s an insane thing to even consider.
That‘s not even the the tip of the iceberg but I think I‘ve said enough for one comment. I hope it can illustrate the sheer incompetence of the German government.
Most lobbies have. It‘s a huge problem.
Let the people actually have a say on who‘s in charge and disarm the commission so lobbyists don‘t run the whole show.
There is an entire system that enables and protects traitors like her. Lobbying is extremely successful in the EU by design. Just like people like VdL are in power by design.
The current German government is attacking human rights left and right. It‘s frustrating enough when they claim to do it for safety but militarization is probably one of the lesser problems.
The government non-apologetically takes our rights over profits by gutting workers rights and the social state on a scale I have never experienced before. All the while Germany remains one of the least equal countries on earth.
They even threaten to take even more rights in favor of Israel by granting them unprecedented rights to exists that would put them comfortably above Germany itself in terms of priorities. This proposed law refers to a definition that doesn‘t even exist by the way. The fundamental right of a state to exist isn‘t mentioned or defined in international or German law. Nations have rights to be sovereign and military expansion is condemned in theory (yeah right…) but they can seize to exist for a number of reasons. Just take East Germany for example. Or the rest of the Soviet block. Or Saarland. Why didn’t Germany stop Saarland from joining if keeping borders is so important? Rendering people criminals who disagree that a country has a god given right to exist or that we have to do everything in our power to protect it is madness. Just complete madness.

I remember when Merz said a chancellor as unpopular as Scholz can only step down. Now Merz is even less popular and doesn‘t even think about stepping down. Just your average right wing populism.
I share his concerns but I think his proposals are neoliberal nonsense.

I feel empathetic for them but they had it coming. Troop withdrawal has been debated for decades. They knew very well it was a question of when, not if Americans will go home.
This was true for some goods but not most. Grocery stores would list both currencies for a year and people from Poland are still crossing the border to buy groceries so it can‘t be that expensive.
Jewish people =/= Israel and two wrongs don‘t make a right. The right to criticize Israel is currently under attack by the German government. Many politicians equate it with Antisemitism. That‘s exactly what the Israel lobby is lobbying for.
