I was a kid in the 90s, I don’t remember 25 being considered a heatwave here. It was only once we got close to 30. Otherwise it was just hot.

I can’t keep up with all the weather changes this year.

Here in London, heatwave weather is more when you get to the 30s. Are you further up north, by any chance?

I know, this year is crazy. We had hot spells back in, was it March? I can’t keep up with all the changes, even in the same day. Yesterday went from chilly to sunny to rainy, to hot and sunny again. This is Britain, we should get 5 days of sunshine a year and rain or overcast for the rest.

We have the gulf stream to help even things out here. 30°C is considered a heat wave.

I feel like we need a separate community for the satirical posts. While these are funny, they dilute the absolute unhingedness of the people who would do something like this seriously.

Good job members only have to commit to joining the euro; they can just kick the can down the road indefinitely and never adopt it.

Given how much goes to leasing rolling stock and the low profit margins, it’s unlikely nationalisation will bring down fares :(

The kids with phones still had them in their bags.

I only use voice notes to send cutesy messages from the little kids to family.

I have a friend who nearly always sends voice notes instead of messages. She’s dyslexic, so I know it’s easier for her than writing, but it means that I’ll frequently forget about them and take ages to reply. With voice notes I need a quiet place to hear and process them plus extra time, texts are much quicker and easier to process.

Exactly, it’s still perfectly fine to sell tinned coconut milk, no one thinks it’s from udders.
