When US bombs China, we won’t have to worry about a thing if things escalate. Both, the US and the Chinese government *can *and *do *commit crimes on large scales. It is not exclusive to the US.

You are correct, China is committing human rights abuses against Uyghurs and other Turkic Muslim minorities. I don’t think that this is the right way to treat peoples.
Please refrain from insulting.
If you react to evidence with denial, there is no reason to discuss.
I hope that you are able to understand that your comment is misrepresenting what I wrote. When one desaturates, it’s hard to see color.
I wrote that I am in favor of liking a certain aspect of a country even when another aspect is not likeable. I explicitly wrote that I am not for an oversimplified “China good” statement, in case the picture tries to convey that.
Thank you for the comment! Sadly, I have somewhat limited time, so the best I can do is to link this article: https://www.bbc.com/news/world-asia-china-22278037
It’s about the genocide of the Uyghurs.

If this meme is about how it’s ok to like an aspect of a country without the need of liking it as a whole, I agree.
If this is a “China good” meme, I don’t agree.
Among other countries, China is also committing
genocidehuman rights abuses against Uyghurs and other Turkic Muslim minorities, suppressing free states and is treating the majority of their population like shit. And don’t get me started on the millions of tons of microplastics they are responsible for…
For me it’s Japanese Club Music.
I like this very much! It implies that the person expressing this knows exactly how they feel about Unicode. It’s just us, the readers (or some other link in the chain), who have/ has the wrong encoding.

38·26 days agoMiddle management is also there to communicate both ways in order to manage expectations. Especially when the senior dev is busy as well. And ideally the first few weeks to months after onboarding are there for junior devs to train and to get comfortable with the new environment (programmatically and socially). I get a lot of anti-work vibes from Lemmy communities, and while I get that capitalism is bad and big corps are optimizing profits over the employees’ well being, I also think that work doesn’t necessarily have to suck. I mean, it’s pretty neat when someone’s good at a thing and gets paid for doing something they somewhat like and are good at 70% of the time.
If times are rough and you have to take what you can get, that’s obviously shit, though…
Love that this implies that it happened at least three times lmao

I feel old…
Not just one…
This way one gets security updates the fastest, official OS releases tend to be the most stable and since the custom OS landscape either died out or because I got more picky, the choices don’t seem all too appealing. Debloating and -googling is also faster.
As to “Why not iodé?” It seems nice, if you have the time, give it a try! qol features like integrated ad-blocking seem really nice! I, for my part, would want to go all in. By that I mean when I flash a custom OS I’d go through the hassle of also rooting and installing XPosed Framework/LSposed whatever (if it’s not dead, yet) plus whatever packages I find intriguing. And even though this sounds quite fun, I just don’t have the time for all that.
I also have a FP5. I run the official OS. Deegoogled and debloated in general with adb. There are great “Android Debloater” programms if you don’t feel too comfortable with manually uninstalling system apps with adb. But take them with a grain of salt, it’s always a bit biased by the views of the devs.
A lot of users came here to boycott reddit. Taking this kind of action is quite hard when it comes to dopamine sources like reddit. The users that migrated have at least in common that they overcame the reddit pull and also took the time and energy to land in a lemmy instance. I’m curious what Lemmy will look like in 5 to 10 years with this kind of “user starter” on the “lemmy agar”.
Lemmy is still a relatively young community. I bet it gets better with time. I like to think that I already noticed small (and healthy) community growths.
And I do not have a metric nor an example. This is super vague, I know.

Thank you for the comment! The sources seem valid and your text is refreshing to read. When I have the time to read everything with the needed focus, I’ll reassess.
